If you weren’t an attorney, what would you be?
A sommelier. I love hosting dinner parties for friends and coming up with interesting food and wine pairings, and I think creating a similar experience for others would be fun and fulfilling.
Who is your mentor and what have you learned from them?
I have had many mentors throughout my life. They all taught me different and important lessons, but what each one had in common was a belief that helping others, giving of yourself, and caring about your community are as important as the work that we choose to do.
What’s your favorite vacation spot?
Lisbon, Portugal. The city has a mix of beautiful natural features and incredible architecture and history. A highlight for me are the Fado musicians that in the parks and squares—there have been Fado bands in Lisbon since the 1800s, and walking through the city can feel like stepping back in time.
