Benjamin M. Altshul

Partner

Benjamin Altshul is a partner in the Real Estate Group. He concentrates on representing clients in commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and financing.

Benjamin has extensive experience with the purchase and sale of multi-family and shopping center asset classes. He has represented both tenants and commercial landlords, including large private equity companies and commercial brokerage companies, in commercial lease issues, such as disputes regarding lease compliance, collections, and other disputes.

He also negotiates and drafts easement agreements, ground leases, amendments, and assignment agreements, and he has represented one of the nation’s largest providers of communications infrastructure in connection with these agreements.

Prior to joining the firm, Benjamin was an associate with Hahn Loeser & Parks LLP and Rudolph Kaplan LLC. He earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

He is a board member of the Jewish Council for Youth Services.
