Diego F. Freire is an associate in the firm’s Intellectual Property Group. He concentrates his practice on intellectual property law matters, including patent and trademark prosecution, due diligence, and clearance/opinion matters.
Diego has experience assisting clients with protecting their intellectual property rights across various technical areas, including software, mechanical, electrical, mobile devices, lighting, telecommunications, artificial intelligence, fintech, blockchain, and medical devices.
Before attending law school, Diego was an Edison Engineer at GE Healthcare, where he helped design medical devices, including Computer Tomography (CT) machines and life sciences devices. As part of his master’s thesis, Diego developed and designed neural networks for sorting data.
