Aria is an associate in the firm’s Corporate Practice Group. She works primarily with privately-held businesses and entrepreneurs on both the buy and sell sides of complex mergers, acquisitions and dispositions. She leads teams of attorneys across disciplines and outside tax and business advisors to close complicated transactions utilizing her strong communication skills with an emphasis on efficiency and process improvement to meet client needs. Aria also provides “outside general counsel” support for a number of clients.
Aria serves as the Co-Chair of the firm’s Associate’s Committee and is active in the firm’s recruiting efforts. She is passionate about serving women, minority and LGBTQ+ owned businesses and entrepreneurs across industries.
Prior to joining LP, Aria was an associate at Baker McKenzie in Chicago, where she advised multinational companies on global and domestic transactional matters, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations. In this role, she built a strong foundation for legal project management, guiding cross-border teams of attorneys to implement large-scale strategic transactions and restructurings.
While attending The University of Chicago Law School, Aria served as a student clinician in the Institute for Justice Clinic on Entrepreneurship providing legal advocacy for low-income entrepreneurs in Chicago with respect to start-up, corporate and regulatory issues.
