CHICAGO, September 18, 2018 – Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC (LP) is pleased to announce that Christina E. Lutz, a partner in its Litigation Group, has been named to the Illinois “40 Under Forty” list for 2018 by the publisher of Chicago Lawyer magazine and the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin. Lutz becomes the ninth LP attorney to receive this distinction. She is featured with other top young attorneys in a special supplement, which highlights her success, diligence, passion and commitment to the community.

Lutz concentrates her practice in commercial litigation, where she has represented a variety of midsized business entities and individuals across a broad range of industries. With a strong foundation in general litigation, she has extensive experience in probate, local government, real estate, and employment law, representing individuals, municipalities, condominium associations, national retailers and business entities of all sizes. She graduated from the Chicago Kent College of Law in 2008 and has been named a Rising Star in Illinois by Super Lawyers each year from 2016 to 2018.

Prior to her legal career, Lutz worked in television in New York and Los Angeles, and she applies the business acumen and pragmatism acquired in her entertainment career to her legal practice. A consummate project leader, Lutz gets to know her clients, and their business, deeply; she is typified by her ability to simplify complex issues, develop successful litigation strategies and communicate effectively with clients.

Lutz is actively involved in the community, and has spent years volunteering for the Pajama Program, a not-for-profit organization providing pajamas and books to children in transitional housing to create a secure bedtime environment for at-risk youth. She is also a strong proponent of diversity in her law firm, through her membership in the Black Women Lawyer’s Association of Chicago, and as an alumni admissions volunteer for her alma mater, Swarthmore College.

LP has a strong tradition of recruiting and retaining Chicago’s top young legal talent, as evidenced by their regular inclusion in Law Bulletin Publishing Company’s “40 Under Forty” list. Past honorees include Real Estate partner Elizabeth O’Brien (2017), Labor & Employment partner Jason Hirsh (2015), Corporate partner Michael St. Peter (2014), Labor & Employment partner Laura Friedel (2011), Real Estate partner Brian Kozminski (2009), Labor & Employment partner, Peter Donati (2006) and Community Associations partner Howard Dakoff (2003).

“LP takes great pride in recruiting, retaining and developing some of Chicago’s top young legal talent,” said Robert Romanoff, the firm’s managing partner. “Christina is a tremendous advisor to our clients, always attuned to their needs and goals. We are fortunate to have her remarkable talents at LP.”
