Michael is an associate in the Real Estate Group. His practice focuses on representing clients in commercial real estate transactions, including negotiating and drafting purchase and sale agreements, conducting due diligence, reviewing titles and surveys, reviewing loan documents, drafting and negotiating leases, and managing closings.
Additionally, he has drafted and negotiated redevelopment agreements with various municipalities throughout Illinois for property tax incentives and other tax sharing agreements, such as TIF and annexation agreements. He also has handled various zoning and building code violation matters throughout the City of Chicago.
Michael earned his J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where he was a member of the DePaul National Trial Team. He earned his Hon. B.A. from Queen’s University in Kingston, Canada. Outside of the office, Michael enjoys exploring Chicago’s food scene and playing ice hockey with friends from law school.
