Q&A

  • What’s your favorite lawyer joke?
There is a New Yorker cartoon that shows a flight attendant and a group of passengers on a plane. The flight attendant says over the intercom, “Ladies and gentlemen, is there a bankruptcy attorney on board?”

  • How do you spend your free time?
Gardening and fixing up my old house on the northwest side of Chicago.

  • What’s the biggest mistake attorneys can make?
Giving advice in a vacuum—without thinking about how the client will use the advice to make a decision.

  • What is the most interesting part of your job?
My favorite part of the job is thinking from the perspective of other parties involved to anticipate their actions and figure out how to get my client what they want.
