Cha’yra (/KY-ruh/) is an associate in LP’s Litigation Practice Group. She represents clients in complex business disputes and commercial litigation. She researches sophisticated legal issues, drafts motions and legal briefs, leads discovery efforts, interviews witnesses, and negotiates with opposing counsel regarding discovery disputes and the scope of subpoenas. Cha’yra also has extensive experience with product liability, mass torts, and class action litigation.
Clients and attorneys appreciate Cha’yra’s analytical and detail-oriented approach to complex legal issues and litigation strategies. They also appreciate her ability to distill voluminous case files and documents into comprehensive memoranda.
Cha’yra earned her B.A. from Princeton University, her J.D., cum laude, from Loyola University School of Law, and her M.A. in teaching from Dominican University. Before joining LP, she was an associate at Foley & Lardner LLP and Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family, friends, her dog and cat, refreshing her black belt in taekwondo, and volunteering in local organizations.

If I weren’t an attorney, I would be in the entertainment industry in some capacity. A talk show host, cruise ship passenger engagement captain, or backup dancer for Beyonce’ would suffice.What’s the most productive day of the week?
My most productive day of the week varies depnding on the season and the general ebbs and flows of litigation. But, Tuesdays always seem to be a great day for me!What’s the best compliment you ever received from a client?
The best compliment I have received from a client was the comment, ‘’I thought you were the partner.’’What languages do you speak?
Besides English, I am conversational in Spanish.
