Ari D. Mintzer

Ari Mintzer is a partner in the firm’s Financial Services & Restructuring Group. He represents clients such as private and public companies, private equity sponsors, and financial institutions in sophisticated M&A and financing transactions. He is adept at negotiating and drafting complex credit facilities, mezzanine loans, and multi-tranche financings in connection with acquisitions, real estate financing transactions, recapitalizations, and restructurings. Ari also acts as outside general counsel for middle-market companies to assist with their legal needs.

Ari has served as a trusted business partner for public companies for more than a decade. With over 10 years of experience as Assistant Corporate Secretary and Associate General Counsel for leading public companies, including Illinois Tool Works, Hill-Rom Holdings, and Baxter International, Ari developed a deep understanding of corporate governance and complex commercial legal matters. His counsel consistently goes beyond legal analysis, incorporating business implications to deliver strategic, practical solutions. Building on this foundation, Ari now acts as outside general counsel for the firm’s clients, providing comprehensive legal support and strategic guidance. Known for his creative problem-solving and ability to align legal strategies with business objectives, Ari is a respected advisor to corporate leadership seeking both legal and business insight.

Ari earned his J.D., cum laude, from Northwestern University School of Law and his B.B.A., with honors, from the University of Michigan. Outside the office, Ari enjoys running and spending time with his wife, children, and dogs. He is an avid University of Michigan fan and a polar plunge devotee.
