Levenfeld Pearlstein Welcomes John Edwards as Partner in the Corporate Practice Group, Strengthening M&A and Private Equity Capabilities

Chicago, IL – October 20, 2026 — Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC (LP) is pleased to announce that John Edwards has joined the firm as a partner in its Corporate Practice Group, further strengthening the firm’s M&A and private equity transaction capabilities.

Edwards brings vast experience advising clients on domestic and international mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, divestitures, equity investments, and corporate governance matters. He has represented public and private companies and handled both buy-side and sell-side transactions. He also serves as outside general counsel, advising companies on internal restructuring, strategic investments, corporate governance, and commercial agreements.

Edwards began his legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he spent eight years handling a wide range of corporate matters. He later joined Patzik, Frank & Samotny, Ltd., a boutique business law firm, where he served as a strategic partner with corporate clients, advising them on M&A transactions, commercial transactions, and day-to-day business law advice.

Edwards earned his J.D., summa cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and his B.A., cum laude, from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
