Levenfeld Pearlstein Expands Trusts & Estates Litigation Practice Adding David Lieberman & Robin Drey Maher

Chicago, IL – July 14, 2025 — Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC (LP) is delighted to announce that partners David Lieberman and Robin Drey Maher have joined the firm’s Trusts & Estates Group. Their arrival significantly enhances LP’s capabilities in complex trust, estate, fiduciary, and closely held business litigation.
“By expanding our bench with two of the most respected practitioners in the field, we have positioned LP to meet client demand with unmatched depth, knowledge, and experience,” said Carrie Harrington, Partner in and Leader of the Trusts & Estates Practice Group. “David and Robin’s arrival enhances our ability to serve high-net-worth individuals, family offices, and fiduciaries with the high-caliber counsel our clients expect and require.”
Lieberman is recognized nationally for his leadership in fiduciary litigation and legal ethics. A longtime ACTEC Fellow, he serves on its Fiduciary Litigation, Professional Responsibility, and Amicus Brief Review Committees, and is a leader in the American Bar Association’s Trusts & Estates Section, where he has served as chair of the Litigation and Professional Responsibility Group among many other roles. He is known for his thoughtful, strategic approach to resolving high-stakes disputes involving trusts, estates, and closely held businesses. He earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago and his B.S., magna cum laude, from Brown University.
“We’ve long known and admired LP’s trusts and estates lawyers, but digging in during discussions, we saw firsthand just how committed the firm and its lawyers are to carrying out LP’s credo to set the standard for exceptional client experience. We could not pass up the opportunity to be a part of that,” said Lieberman.
A Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), Maher brings extensive experience in fiduciary litigation, with a focus on representing parties in complex trust and estate disputes. She is known for her ability to combine deep technical trust and estate knowledge with strategic litigation insight.
Formerly a partner at Levin Schreder & Carey, Ltd., Maher earned her J.D., with high distinction, from the University of Iowa College of Law, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif, and her B.A., cum laude, from Simpson College.
“I look forward to helping LP expand its trust and estate practice and make LP a leading firm for all aspects of fiduciary litigation. I am particularly excited to help build the premier trust and estate litigation team in Chicago,” said Maher.
