CHICAGO – Levenfeld Pearlstein LLC is pleased to announce that Robert Alan Romanoff, head of its Asset Planning & Preservation Service Group, has been named among the nation’s top attorneys by Worth magazine. The complete list of Worth’s Top 100 Attorneys will be published in the magazine’s December 2007 issue, highlighting the nation’s top lawyers serving the personal and family needs of affluent individuals.

Launched in 2005, the Top 100 Attorneys list is the result of over a year of exhaustive research by Worth’s editorial staff. During the selection process for its list, Worth’s editors evaluated lawyers specializing in trusts and estates, philanthropy, elder care, matrimonial and other private practice areas, using feedback from professionals in the wealth management industry, including financial advisors, accountants, consultants, family office executives, academics and clients. In addition to seeking individuals with exceptional legal expertise, the editors looked for lawyers with great tact, discretion and stellar interpersonal skills, enabling them to explain a client’s options in the face of incredibly complicated legal issues.

“Rob has long been one of the nation’s premier trusts and estates attorneys and for him to be recognized for his work by such a prestigious publication is a testament to his constant attention to providing only the highest levels of legal ability and client service,” said Bryan I. Schwartz, chairman of Levenfeld Pearlstein.

Mr. Romanoff has extensive experience in estate, gift and income tax planning, as well as broad-based wealth transfer planning for high net worth individuals and owners of closely held businesses and their families. His practice emphasizes the design and implementation of sophisticated estate and tax planning techniques in conjunction with business and succession planning. Mr. Romanoff is also actively involved in both the contested and routine administration of trusts and estates.

Mr. Romanoff’s practice also includes a focus on asset protection planning and the creation of structures to legitimately protect clients’ wealth from the claims of potential future creditors. He recently served as general editor and as a chapter author of a handbook on Asset Protection Planning published by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education in early 2007. He is a frequent speaker on estate and asset protection planning matters and is a regular member of the faculty for the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education’s annual Estate Planning Short Course.

Mr. Romanoff is a fellow in the esteemed estate planning organization, the American College of Trust and Estate Council (ACTEC). ACTEC membership is based on professional reputation, expertise in the fields of trusts and estates, and having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching and bar activities.

Mr. Romanoff earned his B.A. with Honors in Religion from the University of Iowa and his J.D. from the University of Michigan.
