James D. Brusslan will be discussing ‘Universities and Sustainability’ at Depaul University’s Lincoln Park Campus on Tuesday, April 20th. He will discuss how universities are in a position to play a major role in not only educating students and the public about sustainability, but implementing meaningful sustainability programs in their own operations. This presentation will define sustainability, which is far more than environmental protection, and show how a Chicago business has implemented its sustainability policy. The panelists will provide insights into how universities can implement sustainability programs, and discuss third party sustainability rankings. The presentation will review top university programs throughout North America and make recommendations as to how DePaul can continue to improve it’s sustainability efforts.
