LP Takes Top Honors at LMA Midwest Your Honor Awards for Second Straight Year

CHICAGO, March 13, 2013—Levenfeld Pearlstein LLC is pleased to announce that for the second consecutive year, it has captured first-place honors at the Legal Marketing Association Midwest Chapter Your Honor Awards.  The firm took first at the 2013 awards dinner, held March 7, in the both the “Websites” category for an innovative overhaul of its corporate website,, and the “Events” category for its “One Degree of Separation” client networking event.  The LMA Midwest Your Honor Awards recognize creativity, execution, achievement and overall excellence in legal marketing, business development and communications.  In 2012, LP was recognized with two Midwest awards—including “Best in Show”—and one national Your Honor Award, for its innovative use of video.

A website can be a powerful first impression.  It is the vehicle through which the firm gives visitors information in a way that suits them, to help them make the best and most informed decisions about who they want to work with.   A great website is not a replacement for human contact, but it can help set the expectation of what it means to be an LP client and what the firm offers.

In completely redesigning its site, LP strived to create a marriage of form and function, using both to bring the firm’s marketing and business development approach to life.  The firm’s objective has always been to build authentic relationships, and while conveying authenticity through a website has become somewhat cliché, it strove to achieve that by introducing ease, accessibility, and even candor to the site.  Decisions about the form and function of the site were deliberate and viewed from the perspective of the user, not just because they were pretty or different.  Moving forward, will be truly representative of what defines the firm- its culture and focus on the client experience.

Levenfeld Pearlstein, recognized for its innovative approach to business, wants to serve as the facilitator of professional relationships for its clients, and in 2012, hosted a networking event like no other.  Titled One Degree of Separation, the event served as a forum for the firm to make valuable introductions as a connector among its professional friends and contacts.

Prior to the event, invitees were encouraged to share information about professional goals or objectives that might include something as complicated as an finding an angel investor, to something as simple as finding a good photographer for a child’s graduation portrait.  In addition to the requests received in advance, guests attending the event were able to submit their “wishes” in person.  LP then facilitated introductions at the event, and in the weeks that followed.

When asked in a post-event survey to describe this One Degree event in a single word, guests responded with: Innovative, Quality, Meaningful, Creative, Useful, Professional and Memorable, among others.  The event reinforces LP’s guiding focus to building business relationships with clients as trusted strategic advisors, not just as lawyers, so that it can seek legal solutions that support the client’s long-term business strategy as well as short-term needs.
