Levenfeld Pearlstein Promotes Three Attorneys to Partner

CHICAGO Levenfeld Pearlstein LLC is pleased to announce the promotion of three of its attorneys to partner. The new partners are Christopher M. Heintskill (Litigation Practice Group), Amy W. Mahone (Real Estate & Finance Practice Group) and Matthew R. Zakaras (Corporate Practice Group).

Christopher M. Heintskill
Mr. Heintskill, 34, focuses his practice on the litigation of employment and labor cases for large and middle-market clients. His experience includes litigating actions involving Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FMLA, Illinois Human Rights Act, Illinois Wage Payment Act, and executive-compensation claims in both federal and state courts, as well as charges before the Illinois Human Rights Commission and the EEOC. Mr. Heintskill also handles a high volume of employment-contract cases, including non-competition, non-solicitation, and confidentiality agreements and trade-secret litigation throughout the country. In addition to employment-law cases, he also litigates and arbitrates a broad range of commercial law claims, such as contract disputes, shareholder actions, professional liability, real-estate disputes, business-insurance-coverage matters, and various business torts. Mr. Heintskill has successfully tried cases to verdict, and has arbitrated a number of matters before the NYSE, NASD, and various other self-regulatory agencies.

Mr. Heintskill earned his B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago and his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law.

Amy W. Mahone
Ms. Mahone, 34, concentrates her practice on acquisitions, dispositions and leasing of commercial real estate. She represents both institutional and entrepreneurial clients in various types of real estate including office, retail, industrial, multi-family and manufactured housing communities. Ms. Mahone is regularly involved with the leasing of One Mag Mile, a prominent mixed-use development on Michigan Avenue in Chicago. Her experience also includes the management and coordination of all phases of facility transactions, including drafting and negotiating all acquisition, disposition and leasing documents, performing property and asset due diligence and overseeing outside counsel as needed on state-specific matters. Ms. Mahone is a member of the firm’s Green Development Initiative, a firm-wide team created to help clients understand and manage the opportunities associated with green building.

Ms. Mahone earned her B.A. from Belmont University and her J.D. from the University of Tennessee College of Law.

Matthew R. Zakaras
Mr. Zakaras, 32, focuses his practice on raising private capital, mergers and acquisitions, and general corporate representation. His experience includes a broad range of corporate deals and matters confronting entrepreneurial and middle-market companies, including issues related to corporate grow, intellectual property, securities, contracts, tax, employment, lending and corporate governance. In addition, Mr. Zakaras works with real estate companies in raising capital and tax structuring, and has carved a niche practice assisting clients in acquiring, chartering and financing business aircrafts.

Mr. Zakaras earned his B.A. from Marquette University and his J.D. from the DePaul University College of Law.
