Levenfeld Pearlstein Adds Lauren Wolven as Partner in Trusts & Estates Group

Levenfeld Pearlstein is pleased to announce that Lauren Wolven has joined the firm as a partner in its Trusts & Estates Group. She joins LP from Horwood Marcus & Berk, where she was also a partner.

Wolven concentrates her practice on estate planning, wealth protection, estate and trust administration, tax and succession planning for privately held businesses, and trust and estate litigation. She also represents individuals and financial institutions in estate and trust administration and controversy matters.

“Lauren is a rising star in the estate planning community, having built a very impressive practice at an early stage in her career,” said Robert Romanoff, LP’s managing partner. “Beyond that, it was clear from the moment we began speaking with Lauren about LP that her personality and commitment to client service were ideal fits for our firm culture. We are excited to welcome Lauren to our team and look forward to beginning our work with her.”

Wolven is a member of the esteemed estate planning organization, the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel (ACTEC), where she also is also a member of the prestigious Program Committee. ACTEC membership is based on professional reputation, expertise in the field of trusts and estates and on the basis of having made substantial contributions to these fields through lecturing, writing, teaching, and bar activities.

A frequent lecturer and author on a variety of estate planning and trust administration topics, Wolven is the co-author of two BNA portfolios. She also has been published in the ACTEC Journal and Estate Planning, among others. Wolven’s speaking engagements have included presentations for the nation’s largest estate planning seminar, the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning, ALI-ABA, the American Bar Association Section of Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, the Chicago Bar Association, and the Duke Estate Planning Conference.

Wolven is past president and serves on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Estate Planning Council. She is a past Board Member of the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education and served several terms on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Bar Association Trust Law Committee. Wolven was named by Law Bulletin Publishing Company as one of its “40 Under 40” in 2010; was selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers from 2012 through 2014; and was recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyer in 2014 and 2015 and a Rising Star from 2010 through 2013.

Wolven earned her B.A. from Indiana University where she was recognized as a Wells Scholar, and her J.D. from the University of Illinois College Of Law.
