This year’s seminar will have special emphasis on issues that have arisen from the current economic environment. Attention will be given to market conditions and expectations, including comment on the impact of the substantial amounts of available sublease space, lease renegotiations and concessions requested by tenants facing financial difficulties, negotiation of subleases by sublandlords and subtenants, landlord remedies with respect to defaulting tenants and tenants in bankruptcy, and tenant rights and issues resulting from landlord financial difficulty and bankruptcy.

All of the presenters and panelists have extensive real world experience and they will emphasize practical solutions to issues that commonly arise in today’s troubled markets. This information will be useful for real estate lawyers charged with negotiating and documenting deals in this environment and landlords, tenants and lenders who must solve new and challenging problems.
