The Illinois Supreme Court is planning a return to in-person oral arguments in September and is slated to hear arguments in 17 cases this month, beginning on September 15. Court Spokesman Chris Bonjean told the Chicago Daily Law Bulletin that all courtroom proceedings will be livestreamed on BlueRoom Stream, and in-person attendance will be limited to ensure proper social distancing. The high court also revised its COVID-19 guidance, stating that all individuals – including judges, attorneys, court staff, and others -- must wear a face mask or face covering to enter courthouses. For now, appellate courts will continue hearing arguments remotely. Authored by Erin Mayer
