Phil is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group. He sits on the Executive Committee and Professional Oversight Committee for the firm, and is also a Certified Public Accountant.
In his securities work, Phil concentrates on representing public companies, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital and both public and private equity transactions. He has been general counsel for Rymer Foods, Inc. Entrade, Inc., ARTRA Group Incorporated, The Lori Corporation, Ozite Corporation, The Leap Group and numerous other public entities.
Former managing partner of Kwiatt & Ruben, a respected suburban law firm that merged with LP in 2002, Phil donates his legal and business knowledge as a director and advisor for many companies, and has been a featured speaker at seminars focusing on the legal and financial planning affairs for family members of those with Alzheimer’s. He also serves as president of the North Suburban YMCA, as a member of the Corporate Donations Committee for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and as an advisory director of the American Theater Company in Chicago.
