Friedland is currently co-authoring two books that will be published by Thomson West within the next year. He is a member of the board of the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI) and in 2007, was honored by the ABI for publication, “Chapter 11 – '101': The Nuts and Bolts of Chapter 11 Practice.” Mr. Friedland is also an adjunct professor of strategic management at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business, where he co-teaches a class with James H.M. Sprayregen called “Failure: Grave to Cradle Restructuring.”
Friedland earned his B.S. magna cum laude from the University at Albany, State University of New York, and his J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School.
