Thomas G. Jaros

Thomas Jaros is a partner in the Real Estate & Finance Practice Group and the Restructuring & Insolvency Service Group. He is experienced in a variety of real estate transactions, but focuses much of his time on the representation of clients in sophisticated mortgage financing projects and tenant-in-common transactions. Tom has significant experience representing clients nationally in non-recourse mortgage financing across all major property classes, including hotels, multi-family residential and retail power centers. Additionally, a large portion of his practice involves the structuring and closing of tenant-in-common transactions across the country, again with a heavy emphasis on the financing-related aspects of those transactions. As of late, he has spent an increasing amount of time involved in defeasance transactions and the counseling of clients on the conduit loan market generally.

As a natural adjunct to Tom's financing experience, he is often called upon to run the other aspects of the acquisition and disposition of commercial real estate projects. His financing experience has also extended to the representation of buyers and sellers of distressed real estate, including the acquisition and foreclosure of defaulted mortgage paper.
