Sun Y. Pae

Sun Pae is a member of the Intellectual Property Service Group where she helps clients establish and protect their intellectual property rights in the United States and abroad.

Drawing upon her previous engineering experience, Sun understands the challenges and opportunities inherent in the research and development and design and manufacturing processes. She has lead research and development teams in commercializing technologies and has also worked as a process engineer, focusing on coating and plastic manufacturing processes. More recently, Sun has assisted clients, whose inventions related to confectionery manufacturing, nanofibers, carbon nanotechnology, filtration, medical devices and agricultural composites, with patent prosecution, patent drafting and infringement opinion drafting.

Her working knowledge of information technology as a whole, and more specifically in the areas of data center operations and e-commerce architectures, is particularly relevant to clients. And after serving on the internal audit team for the International Standards Organization (ISO), Sun gained unique insight into understanding the practical implications of industrial applications, equipment and processes, as well as the challenges facing her clients.

Sun is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is fluent in Korean.
