Steven M. Weiss

Steven Weiss is a partner in the Corporate Practice Group. He advises a wide range of clients, including private equity funds, unfunded sponsors, entrepreneurs, sophisticated private investors, closely held businesses and public companies involved in manufacturing, insurance, banking, real estate development, technology, retail and other industries. Steven helps negotiate and structure strategic alliances, joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, acquisitions of distressed businesses, commercial lending transactions, financings, venture capital transactions and private placements, among other areas of service.

Some of his recent transactions include:

• Represented a distributor of new and refurbished consumer electronics in the acquisition of select assets from the Circuit City bankruptcy.
• Represented a US-based manufacturer in a joint venture with an Israeli company.
• Represented an international distributor of food and flavor ingredients in the acquisition of a manufacturer of agricultural flavors and feed surfactants.
• Represented a leading North American insurance brokerage in a series of fold-in acquisitions.
