David B. Berzon

David Berzon is a partner in the Real Estate & Finance Practice Group and a former Chairman of the group. He brings an extensive background in the areas of commercial real estate sales and acquisitions, development, debt and equity financing, including joint ventures, leasing and work-outs. As a notable real estate expert, David has spoken at several conferences and seminars for local and national real estate organizations.

In 2005 David achieved the "CRE" designation from The Counselors of Real Estate, an exclusive professional organization consisting of some of the most well-known and talented advisors in the real estate industry. Membership in CRE is by invitation only and was established exclusively for real estate advisors who provide intelligent, unbiased, and trusted advice for their clients and customers.

In 2008, 2009, and 2010 David was named one of the top 100 attorneys in the State of Illinois by Super Lawyer Magazine, and, in 2007, was included in the “40 over 40” issue of Midwest Real Estate News, signifying David’s place among the top real estate professionals throughout the Midwest. David is also listed as one of the leading real estate attorneys by Leading Lawyer Magazine.

David was also recognized individually in the 2011 edition of Chambers USA in the area of Real Estate: Illinois (see related press release). Chambers noted that David is "highly regarded as a "businessman’s lawyer"' and that, "he's able to understand the needs and quirks of the client and find the most expedient way to solve a problem." Chambers also included that Berzon is "also praised for his communication skills and for being "down to earth but also willing to take risks to achieve the best results for clients."'
