LP Announces $25,000 Grant to Casa Central as Part of Commitment to Chicago Community Organizations

CHICAGO – Levenfeld Pearlstein LLC is pleased to announce that it has awarded a $25,000 grant to Casa Central, the Midwest’s largest not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing critical social services that transform lives and strengthen Hispanic communities, propelling people of all ages toward self-sufficiency. The grant, which will specifically benefit Casa Central’s La Posada interim housing program for homeless families, is part of Levenfeld Pearlstein’s Corporate Contributions Program. Launched in 2007, the Corporate Contributions Program is part of a broader civic and social responsibility initiative that Levenfeld Pearlstein has undertaken since its founding.

“We are gratified that our Corporate Contributions Program is able to support Casa Central, an organization that since its founding in 1954, has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of so many people in Chicago’s large Hispanic community,” said Bryan Schwartz, Chairman of Levenfeld Pearlstein. “The commitment to bettering the communities in which we work and live is tightly woven into the culture of our firm and we take immense pride in our ability to assist deserving organizations through our Corporate Contributions Program and other firm initiatives.”

 

Levenfeld Pearlstein’s grant to Casa Central will support La Posada’s comprehensive case management services for homeless families. Through housing, counseling, childcare, employment training, academic support, and crisis intervention assistance, adults and children have access to a wide variety of resources to address their needs. La Posada helps families regain a stable home life and secure employment toward their ultimate goal of transition to self-sufficiency and independence.

The Corporate Contributions Program is a grant-making program based on the firm’s belief that its accomplishments are routed in accountability and that by supporting the innovation and leadership of nonprofit organizations, it extends its ability to make a difference in the community. Unlike traditional law firm grant-making programs, Levenfeld Pearlstein’s program operates with the philosophy that organizations need the flexibility to do what they do best. To bring greater impact to the firm’s funding, it identifies special issue areas or populations on an annual basis, which become the focus of its grant-making.
