Levenfeld Pearlstein Co-Founder and Chairman, Bryan Schwartz, to Take Over As President of Chicago-area Manufacturing Company

CHICAGO, October 26, 2016 – Levenfeld Pearlstein, LLC (LP) is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2017, firm co-founder and Chairman, Bryan I. Schwartz, will become president of a closely-held Chicago-area manufacturing company and current LP client. 

 

Schwartz helped found LP in 1999 and served as the firm’s managing partner until 2013, when as a part of LP’s formal succession planning protocol, he transitioned to the role of Chairman. LP’s succession planning process, which Schwartz helped to create, is designed to encourage change and foster the development of younger partners, laying the groundwork for a successful future. 

 

Under Schwartz’s pioneering leadership, LP became a nationally-recognized law firm and a model for the type of relationship a firm should have with its clients. Much of his vision for perfecting the client experience is today captured in the firm’s “LP Way” – the set of business processes on which all of the firm’s work is based. LP was recognized on The National Law Journal “Midsize Hot List” in 2014 and 2015, in part, due to its development of and commitment to the “LP Way”.

 

“It’s certainly rare for a private practice attorney to transition to a corporate environment, not as in-house counsel, but as president of the entire organization,” said LP’s current managing partner, Robert Romanoff. “Those who know Bryan, however, should not be surprised, as a move into corporate leadership is a natural career progression for him. While helping to build LP, Bryan was one of the original subscribers to the philosophy that an effective attorney should be a trusted business advisor, not just a legal counselor. That he would be selected by a client as its new leader is proof of LP’s commitment to that vision.”

Romanoff added: “Theodore Roosevelt once said, ‘The best executive is the one who has sense enough to pick good men to do what he wants done, and self-restraint enough to keep from meddling with them while they do it.’ This encapsulates both what Bryan has done at LP and what he has meant to the firm. His ability to delegate throughout his tenure as managing partner helped to cultivate our next generation of leaders. As a result, LP’s success is never dependent on the presence or absence of any one individual. We are ecstatic for Bryan, and excited about the current and future direction of LP.
