Often referred to as "the Oscars" of the Chicago commercial real estate industry, the Chicago Commercial Real Estate Awards Dinner draws more than 2,000 of the Chicago metropolitan area’s top brokers, developers, property managers, interior contractors and design professionals. Some refer to the cocktail hour as Chicago’s hottest networking opportunity with dealmakers scrambling to close before dinner. The 2009 dinner raised more than $800,000 for the Greater Chicago Food Depository, equivalent to more than 3 million meals for hungry people in our community. Proceeds are derived from event sponsorships, sponsored tables, raffle and from a special brown bag collection. This year's event starts with a reception at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 11, 2010, at the Hilton Chicago.
